Line Cook

About the role

As a Line Cook at Firebirds, you’ll be a key part of our Back of House team—bringing focus, consistency, and pride to every plate that leaves the kitchen. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment where quality, timing, and teamwork come together to create memorable guest experiences.

We ensure that our team members receive extensive training and development, are continuously set up for success, and feel welcomed in our Firebirds family. If you’ve never worked in a restaurant before but have a passion for learning, we’ll train you to become a hospitality expert.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and attention to presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety standards.
• Properly label, store, and rotate all food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items frequently weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Patience and a guest-oriented mindset.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation.
• 18+ years of age for Back of House positions.

Pay

USD $18.00 - USD $22.00 per hour.
