Line Cook
About the Role
As a Line Cook at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will prepare and serve high-quality meals for residents and guests in our restaurant-style dining program. Working in a professional commercial kitchen, you'll be responsible for food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining the quality and presentation standards that create an exceptional dining experience. We're seeking dependable, team-oriented professionals who take pride in their work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards
- Follow recipes, manage portion control, and ensure attractive plate presentation
- Properly manage cook times while preparing and efficiently managing several orders simultaneously
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures
- Follow checklists and company procedures to ensure the kitchen is stocked and well-maintained at all times
- Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction
Qualifications
- State regulations require all community staff to be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Professional, pleasant, and team-oriented attitude
- Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- Minimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Proven success with basic Culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements, and cooking methods
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Consistent and reliable attendance is essential

Sunday-Thursday, 11:00am-7:30pm or 12:00pm-8:00pm
