About the role
Barcadia New Orleans is seeking several new full-time Cooks to prepare lunch and/or dinner in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Review menus prior to preparation of food
- Assure that all food procedures are followed
- Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary
- Follow all sanitation guidelines
- Become familiar with new menu items and dishes
- Work as part of a team
- Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
- Cook burgers and steaks to the correct requested temperature
- Stand for extended periods of time
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a culinary institute, military school, or formal on-the-job training preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of food preparation experience required
- Experience with high-volume food preparation preferred
