About the role

This position involves preparing food items according to production requirements and quality standards, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items in accordance with recipe cards and production standards, based on server checks.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to overprepare estimated needs.
• Date and rotate all food containers as per Crescent standards, maintaining proper temperatures for perishables.
• Check par levels for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pulls, and line setups.
• Note any out-of-stock items or potential shortages.
• Absorb and assist in stocking the buffet.
• Return unused food items to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables.
• Aid in correcting food cost issues, controlling waste, losses, and usage as per Crescent standards.
• Operate, maintain, and clean deep fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, food processors, mixers, slicers, ovens, steam tables, tilt kettles, waffle irons, and flat top grills.
• Comply with attendance rules and availability for regular shifts.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
