Line Clearance Foreman (CDL Preferred)

About the role

Davey Utility Line Clearance is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to join the team servicing the Northwestern OH region from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Findlay, OH with additional coverage in Bowling Green, Lima, and Northwestern OH. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2–5 person tree crew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers
• Prune treetops, repair damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Perform job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks
• Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more
• Mentor and train new employees

Qualifications

What We're Seeking: Love of the outdoors; ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire; ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.

• Required: Valid driver’s license; line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain; relevant pesticide and related licenses/certificates as required by state law; ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional

Pay

Hourly rate of $27.00 – $29.00 based on line clearance experience and CDL status.
