Line Clearance Foreman | CDL Preferred

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance is offering an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson position (CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred) to service the Northwestern Ohio region from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2‑5 person tree crew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Perform job‑site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more.
• Mentor and train new employees.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Commercial Driver’s License – Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement, or willingness to obtain (preferred).
• Line clearance experience or other related tree work (required).
• Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law (preferred).
• ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (preferred).

Pay

Hourly rate of $27.00 – $29.00 based on line clearance experience and CDL holder status.

Schedule

Full‑time hourly position with travel expectations of up to 25%.
