Line Clearance Foreman

About the role

Position Overview: Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is offering an Experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, CDL preferred, to join a team working in/around Kittanning, PA.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2‑5 person tree crew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops, repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Perform job‑site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Mentor and train new employees.

Qualifications

What we're seeking:

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.

Required:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Line clearance experience or other related tree work.

Preferred:

• Commercial Driver’s License – Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement (or willingness to obtain).
• Relevant pesticide and related licenses/certificates, if required by state law.
• ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.

Pay

Hourly pay $27.71 – $29.51, based on line clearance/industry experience and CDL holder status.

Schedule

Full‑time hourly position; travel expectations up to 25%.
