About the role
Provide instructional services necessary to educate all students to high standards that align with district state and federal requirements guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district and state standards.
- Teach subjects at assigned grade levels as per the Indiana teaching license or alternative credential.
- Utilize effective practices including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques in classroom instruction.
- Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide a comprehensive educational environment.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly to meet individual learning needs.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate regularly with parents about student performance and progress.
Requirements
- Valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR eligibility to obtain an alternative teaching credential.
- Knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff.
- Pass required background checks and health screenings.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR eligibility to obtain an alternative teaching credential.
- Must possess knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.
- Eligibility for the Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement requires holding or being on track to obtain the endorsement, especially for teachers working with retained grade 3 students.
