About the role

This position involves working as part of a team to perform routine cleaning tasks. You will maintain a clean and professional environment for employees and visitors, requiring attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, spot-cleaning, and any other duties assigned by the manager
• Dust and clean furniture, window sills, light fixtures, and other surfaces
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and replenish supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.)
• Empty trash receptacles throughout the building and dispose of waste safely and properly
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and handrails
• Maintain cleanliness of entry and exit areas, including sweeping hallways and removing debris
• Ensure cleaning supplies and chemicals are used according to safety guidelines and company policies
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Regional Manager
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ensure the building is kept free of hazards such as slippery floors or blocked exit routes
• Maintain the janitorial space in a neat and clean condition and keep cleaning equipment in proper working order
• Adapt to changing policies, procedures, and/or duties as directed by management
• Follow the building’s cleaning schedule for special cleaning tasks

Requirements

• Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred but not required
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoors and outdoors (weather permitting)
• Capable of using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers
• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (if required by the client)
• Must be punctual, reliable, and maintain a positive attitude

Medical Facility Requirements

Buildings with medical offices require additional training and vaccinations at no cost to the employee.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Shift starts after 5:00 PM
• 4 to 5 hours per night

Pay

$14.00/hour - $14.50/hour
