Lil Coasters Childcare Associate, Mount Pleasant Campus

Part-time position, 20-25 hours per week. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–2:30 PM. Classroom assignment: two-year-olds. Reports to the Lil Coasters & MTP Childcare Manager.

About the role

The Lil Coasters Team cares for staff children by providing a safe and nurturing environment where kids learn about the love of Jesus, develop basic and introductory preschool skills, and build friendships and social skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and security of children in your care.
• Act as a positive role model, treating each child with dignity and respect.
• Engage children in classroom activities, including Bible story time, crafts, worship songs, free play, games, and other age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment, following all safety policies and procedures.
• Report any concerns regarding child or parent behaviors to the Childcare Coordinator.
• Greet parents and build trust and rapport with the children in your care.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize toys, chairs, tables, and floors after use.

Requirements

• Christ Follower (as a religious organization, Seacoast Church aligns hiring decisions with its faith and beliefs).
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including some weekday, weeknight, weekend, and/or holiday shifts while maintaining good attendance and punctuality.
• Passion for caring for children and ability to relate well to both kids and adults.
• Must be able to lift, hold, and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to appropriately handle stressful situations.
