Lighting Retrofit Foreman

About the role

As the Crew Leader you will supervise crew members, ensure safety is the top priority, and enforce policies and procedures outlined in the Company Handbook.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize project tasks given by the Project Manager and delegate them appropriately to the team.
• Ensure all crew members use proper safety gear and precautions at all times.
• Prepare materials and maintain material inventories.
• Complete administrative paperwork, including daily work tickets, photos, job check-ins/outs, and communication with Project Managers on job status and issues.
• Ensure projects are completed to scope and workmanship meets code standards.
• Perform quality control checks on project close-outs.
• Enforce state labor laws, including required 15-minute rest breaks and 30-minute meal breaks.
• Escalate personnel issues immediately to the Project Manager.
• Assist in installing light fixtures, lamps, ballasts, controls, or other lighting system components.
• Work from ladders, lifts, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Perform physically demanding tasks while demonstrating knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment.
• Understand and comply with government/local regulations, ordinances, and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of Lighting and Retrofit experience.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel (overnight travel up to 80%).
• Reliability and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills for direct interaction with on-site personnel.
• NRLT, CSLT, and/or CALT Certification preferred.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, or pull up to 20 lbs.
• Drive to multiple job sites daily.

Work Environment

Employee will work in a variety of environments, including large retail stores, commercial buildings, and warehouse spaces.
