Lighting Analyst II

Responsibilities
- Actively attend in-house and external training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas related to lighting.
- Participate in industry organizations and attend events, meetings, and activities.
- Hold ethics in lighting design to the highest standard.
- Uphold Company owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values.
- Train and mentor lighting analysts.
- Create and implement processes for surveys and pricing.
- Apply Knowledge of NFPA 101, NFPA 70 NEC, Energy Code, ADA, FAA, and IES codes/standards in retrofit solutions process.
- Cook up retrofit replacements that will work properly with existing lighting fixtures and controls.
- Create and implement processes for survey and pricing.
- Prepare detailed excel documentation in order to clearly communicate a breakdown of existing and new lighting power densities, annual energy savings, annual maintenance savings, project costs, and simple payback.
- Prepare lighting pricing narratives to outline the scope of work.
- Prepare full lighting narratives to detail the scope of work in each building.
- Prepare definitive transaction documents related to the lighting scope.
- QA/QC all lighting pricing documents.
- Review product submittals, pricing, or any other documentation submitted by partners on projects.
- Continually develop and maintain GoCanvas survey apps and reference files used by lighting auditors.
- Continually develop and maintain all master lighting documentation including mapping files used to download data from GoCanvas, pricing files, and all other master documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree in engineering or related field with 3 years' experience or Associates degree in engineering or related field with 5 years' experience.
- Required experience in Excel and Word.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written format.
- Ability to communicate effectively with facility managers and engineers.
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to use technology and apps reviewing collected survey data.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment.
- Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
- Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Lighting Certification (LC) from NCQLP.
- LEED Certification.
- Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP).
- Certified Lighting Management Consultant (CLMC).
Travel Requirements
- 10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Climbing stairs.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Quiet environment.
- Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
