The Role
The Installation Technician II is responsible for the design and construction of AV racks and the installation of Audio and Video equipment. They also support the maintenance and repair of existing systems in various venues and industries across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Installation of audiovisual equipment and accessories for clients
- Set up equipment, carry out tests and validation according to norms, plans, and specifications
- Work closely with Project Managers to know the specific needs of the clients
- Familiarize the clients with the functioning of our equipment
- Ensure the trucks as well as the warehouse are clean and organized
- Keep updated and in sufficient quantity the inventory of the trucks’ equipment
- Manipulate, transport, and use power tools, equipment, materials and required vehicles to install audiovisual equipment
- Remain up to date when it comes to new products and technological developments in the audiovisual field
- Ensure to respect the health and safety rules and requirements applicable to the projects
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the integration/installation of audiovisual equipment field
- CTA or Professional Diploma in audiovisual / electronic or equivalent (an asset)
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Able to adapt to new technology
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to work in a team as well as independently
- Strong customer service skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of sound systems, lighting, video and/or videoconference control equipment
- Knowledge of carpentry: chemical and mechanical anchorage, passing cabling, etc.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Viewer, an asset
- Excellent knowledge of Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook)

- Physical Requirements: Continually sit, walk, speak, and hear; Continually type, write, and read; Occasionally stand, carry, lift, push, and reach up to 50 lbs; Work in an office setting, on construction sites, in outdoor environments, at high elevations; Flexible work hours to support operations; Typical workweeks standard 40 hours; Environment may be fast-paced; Frequent overnight travel
