About the role

To bring our walk to life, we require the support of volunteers across three shifts.

Volunteer shifts

• Set up volunteers: 10 volunteers from 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM
• Event support volunteers: 10 volunteers from 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM
• Clean up volunteers: 10 volunteers from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

• Opening Ceremony/Walk: 7:00 PM

Parking & access

Public parking is available in several nearby garages, surface lots, and metered street parking surrounding the park.

Recommended parking options:

• County Administration Center Underground Garage – 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92101
• ACE Parking Garages & Surface Lots (multiple locations within a 2 to 5 minute walk)
• Metered street parking throughout the surrounding downtown area

Typical event parking ranges from $10 to $30+, depending on the location and event demand.

For guests needing accessible access, an ADA drop-off area will be available at the event entrance on N Harbor Drive. We also encourage attendees to use public transportation, as the County Center/Little Italy Trolley Station is just a short walk from the venue. Arriving early is recommended to allow extra time for parking.
