Light The Night Portland
About the event
Light The Night gathers the community to celebrate, honor, and remember those touched by cancer. Friends, families, schools, corporate teams, and sponsors join together to bring light to the darkness of cancer. The funds raised fund lifesaving research, advocacy and support for blood cancer patients and their families.
Volunteer roles
- General event help volunteers (50 needed) to assist with a variety of areas from 5:00–8:30 PM
- Clean up volunteers (15 needed) from 8:00–9:30 PM

Parking logistics
Participant parking will be available in the OMSI parking lots at 1945 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214. Participants should park in the designated OMSI North and South parking lots and follow event signage to the Light The Night event site.
Parking is managed by OMSI through the Parking Kitty system. Current parking rates are:
- $5 for up to 2 hours
- $8 for all-day parking (5:00 AM to 11:00 PM)
- $2 during evening hours (after 5:00 PM)
Parking may be paid through the Parking Kitty mobile app, parking kiosks, or at the OMSI front desk. Accessible parking spaces are available in the OMSI lots for vehicles displaying a valid disabled parking permit.
