Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Light Assembler I to join the Pass and Seymour Team in Concord, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Start and stop machine, packaging/assembly quality products.
  • Have knowledge of safety devices and operating procedures.
  • Obtain proper product materials per Bill of Materials.
  • Ensure that equipment will be operated in a safe manner.
  • Check parts to ensure consistent quality and low scrap.
  • Attain production rate for assigned work center. Document methodology and reason on plan to actual form when production target is not achieved.
  • Keep records on quality audits, production, scrap, and downtime.
  • May be responsible for routine preventative maintenance, minor setup and changeover of workstation.
  • Maintain good housekeeping, keeping machinery and work area clean and safe.
  • Assist other team members with work, rework and final production.
  • Follow step by step standard work procedure to ensure final part/product meets all quality standards.
  • Must be willing and able to operate on multiple work areas per production schedule.
  • All other related duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • Minimum three months of manufacturing experience.
  • Basic reading and writing skills in English.
  • Math skills.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to stand the majority of the workday.
  • Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Manual dexterity required for assembly and operating tools and machines.
  • Ability and applied knowledge of the production worker job description.
  • Able to work overtime when necessary.
