Lift Truck Operator III- Impreg (Thomasville, North Carolina, United States, 27360)

About the role

This position will require you to operate propane or electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with forklift and/or elevated platforms to move materials.

Responsibilities

• Operates lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
• Moves pallets, skids, boxes, and secures material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Completes the daily Forklift Inspection Checklist prior to utilizing equipment.
• Follows all established standard operating procedures.
• Operates or tends to automatic stacking, loading, or cutting machines.
• Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, conveyors, or lifting devices.
• Understands and follows all Company and Department safety policies, including personal protective equipment and alternate work procedures.
• Operates and follows instructions as directed by an onboard RF unit.
• Attends any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Performs other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior forklift experience required.
• Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate Warehouse Management Systems via stationary and onboard computers.
• Demonstrated skills relating to time management and attention to detail.
• Following all established standard operating procedures in place.
• Operating Powered Industrial Lifts safely.

Skills

• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.

Benefits

• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• May include working 12-hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
