About the Role

Yellowstone Club’s Mountain Operations Department is seeking Lift Operators for the upcoming Winter season (November 30th - April 12th). Lift Operators start at $22/hour plus differential based on experience. The purpose of the Lift Operator is to provide safe and efficient loading, transporting, and unloading of Members, guests, and employees in accordance with the specific operating instructions of the assigned lift.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure outstanding guest service by greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining service standards, and demonstrating product knowledge.
  • Guarantee total guest satisfaction, displaying hospitality and professionalism at all times.
  • Handle all guest transactions in a legal and ethical manner.
  • Apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure environment; respond to accidents or emergencies by seeking medical attention if necessary and contacting management immediately.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees to foster a positive environment.
  • Operate assigned lift equipment safely and competently, responding quickly to emergencies.
  • Inspect, record, and report the condition of all lift machinery.
  • Maintain loading areas, unloading areas, and ramps to prescribed standards.
  • Execute safe, efficient, and courteous loading and unloading of passengers.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with Members, guests, and employees.
  • Ski between lifts and assignments; intermediate skiing ability required.
  • Diplomatically handle awkward or negative situations.
  • Provide general knowledge about Yellowstone Club to inquirers.
  • Maintain awareness of lift openings, closures, and operational conditions.
  • Conduct pre-operation safety checks and perform safe start-up, running, and shut-down of electric or auxiliary operations.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Club policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Meet productivity, punctuality, attendance, and consistency standards.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful attitude and professional appearance at all times.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors and managers.
  • Project a favorable image of Yellowstone Club.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required.
  • Assist with lift evacuations.
  • Operate a snowmobile after completing required training.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or vocational training in job-related coursework.
  • Previous lift operations experience preferred but not required; preseason training provided.
  • Ability to ski at an intermediate level in a strong, stable manner.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather and adverse conditions.
  • Experience working in a private club setting is a plus.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.
  • Ability to lift up to thirty (30) pounds.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
