Full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Lift Lube Manager.

About the role

Install reels, pumps, tanks, and piping associated with lubrication systems. Support and service all aspects of automotive and truck shop needs, including installation and maintenance of lifts, oil systems, and air systems. Requires local travel and occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair lift and lube systems.
  • Diagnose electronic and mechanical issues and make appropriate repairs.
  • Install new equipment following repair, test operation, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
  • Reassemble equipment following repair, test operation, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Test and replace electrical components and wiring.
  • Repair or replace defective parts.
  • Record details of repairs made and parts used.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One year of mechanical experience.
  • Hand and power tool experience required.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to pass DOT driving requirements.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety vest, and glasses when necessary.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Work Environment

  • Automotive and truck garages.
  • Requires working from a manlift approximately 15-25 feet above shop floors.
  • Requires working around customers’ equipment and vehicles.
  • Position is deemed safety-sensitive; improper performance may pose a threat to health and safety.

Pay

Starting wage: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (on-call).
