About the role

We are seeking a Lifestyles Associate to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As a Lifestyles Associate, you will impact the lives of all members and residents through assisting with activities and programming in a senior living setting.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly survey and interview residents and work with resident led committee to determine the residents’ past and present interests, talents, and their satisfaction with community programs and activities.
  • Develop and implement activities for the residents in accordance with their needs.
  • Recognize the individuality, diversity and spirituality of all residents when planning activities and celebrating holiday functions.
  • Provide quality activities to residents in an environment which promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and their individuality.
  • Provide individualized attention to each resident to encourage each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial wellbeing.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating activities and programs for residents including games, reading, listening, and organizing community involvement.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one-year related experience preferred, in wellness, fitness or recreational therapy in senior living, or appropriate formal education or Buckner training.
  • Proficient working knowledge of the aging process as it relates to senior adults in an independent living setting.
  • Ability to organize activities and work with other departments and/or units to implement the activities.
  • Ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English.
  • A friendly attitude and a servant’s heart.
