About the role

This is a rare opportunity to join a newly launched private GP service at a well-established allied health clinic and to help shape how that service runs from day one.

Location

Andover, Hampshire. Winchester is around 20 minutes away, Basingstoke approximately 30 minutes north-east and Salisbury around 30 minutes to the west.

The Practice

A multi-disciplinary allied health clinic serving 20,000 patients with over 20 years of history and a strong local reputation. An in-house team including chiropractors, osteopaths, podiatrists, sports therapists and a nutrition specialist, all available for direct GP referral. A pre-registration interest list of over 1,500 patients for the GP service, built without any external advertising. CQC registered early 2026, with governance and compliance infrastructure in place before the service goes live.

Your Role

The practice is recruiting for one of three configurations, depending on the candidates available. Please read all three options and apply for the one that best matches your background.

Option 1: 7 sessions per week (CQC lead with women’s health specialism)

  • 7 sessions per week, 4 hours per session, no weekends and no out-of-hours
  • Approximately 20% of time allocated to CQC governance, clinical oversight of the practice nurse and quality management; previous experience of CQC requirements and governance frameworks is essential for this option
  • Minimum 30-minute appointments: no volume targets, no conveyor-belt lists
  • Structured onboarding pathway for every patient: comprehensive blood screening, nurse-led assessment, full GP review and a 12-month health plan with scheduled follow-up
  • Active in-house referral pathways to the allied health team; holistic, preventative practice is central to the model
  • A women’s health specialism is required for this option: DFSRH or equivalent qualification welcomed

Option 2: 4 sessions per week (CQC lead)

  • 4 sessions per week, 4 hours per session, no weekends and no out-of-hours
  • Approximately 20% of time allocated to CQC governance, clinical oversight of the practice nurse and quality management; previous experience of CQC requirements and governance frameworks is essential for this option
  • Minimum 30-minute appointments, structured patient onboarding pathway and active in-house referral pathways as described above

Option 3: 4 sessions per week (women’s health specialism)

  • 4 sessions per week, 4 hours per session, no weekends and no out-of-hours
  • Minimum 30-minute appointments, structured patient onboarding pathway and active in-house referral pathways as described above
  • A women’s health specialism is required for this option: DRCOG, DFSRH or equivalent qualification welcomed

Note: Options 2 and 3 are each dependent on the other being filled. The practice will only proceed with both simultaneously. If you are applying for Option 2 or Option 3, your application will be progressed in parallel with the search for the complementary candidate. You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.

Pay and Benefits

£900 per day (self-employed day rate, applicable across all three options)

Additional earnings available for referral letters and tasks outside the standard consultation, charged to the patient with the GP compensated for their time

Informal flexible leave: up to 10 weeks per year perhaps with sufficient notice

Dedicated on-site car parking at no cost to staff

You must provide your own indemnity coverage
