Lifestyle Enrichment Professional

About the role

The Lifestyle Enrichment Professional facilitates Well-being and recreational activities as assigned in treatment plans or activity schedules as directed by the Well-Being Director. This role requires the ability to understand and address the unique needs of older adults.

Responsibilities

• Promote an environment supportive of all aspects of Well-Being for residents, including physical, social, emotional, vocational, intellectual, environmental, and spiritual health.
• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs.
• Oversee residents engaged in scheduled enrichment activities to enhance their physical, social, vocational, emotional, and intellectual well-being.
• Evaluate and ensure the effective use of activity care plans in providing daily Lifestyle Enrichment for residents.
• Aid the Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator in the development and execution of activity calendars, covering evening and weekend hours as needed.
• Provide ongoing Lifestyle Enrichment through both group and self-directed activities.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• One year of Activities or Life Enrichment experience with older adults or in human services field, preferably gained through volunteer work, internship, or paid experience.
• Professional experience with geriatric residents in a long-term care setting is preferred.

Pay

• $15.75/hour

Schedule

• Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
• 8:00am-4:30pm, every other weekend & holiday required
