About the role
The Lifestyle Engagement Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining a commitment to purposeful programming through the enhancement of the four pillars of successful aging (Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, and Social). Applicants must demonstrate and practice a person-centered philosophy that helps to develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, and other team members.
This will include coordination of the community programming calendar listing entertainment, tours, and events for the residents within the community, as well as celebration of special moments and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain purposeful programming focused on the four pillars of successful aging: Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, and Social.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, and team members using a person-centered philosophy.
- Coordinate the community programming calendar, including entertainment, tours, events, special moments, and holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Music Therapy, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university; or four years of related experience; or a combination of both education and experience.
- Six months’ experience with programming for older adults in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- CTRS or ADC certification is preferred.
- CPR certification at time of hire is preferred but will be provided upon hire if needed.
- Able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with residents, resident families, and team members.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software and the ability to learn new and innovative software programs.

Pay
Starting salary: $17.55 - $25.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
Full-time; primarily days with some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
