About the role
The Lifestyle Director is responsible for managing resident programs—including recreational, social, cultural, travel, and entertainment activities—designed to enrich the quality of life and enhance community vibrancy. This role encompasses program development, promotion to potential buyers, administration of resident clubs, fitness programming, and overall program publicity.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement resident programs, fitness and wellness initiatives, continuing education programs, and special community-wide events.
- Solicit input and involvement from residents and prospects to stimulate participation and awareness of lifestyle opportunities.
- Work with the sales team to oversee the guest house program for potential buyers, including booking reservations, guest lunches, and incorporating homeowner “ambassadors.”
- Assist homeowners, resident groups, and clubs in scheduling association facilities, including program and room requirements and fee collection.
- Facilitate new neighbor socials and new homeowner orientations to welcome buyers and introduce potential buyers to the community.
- Collaborate with the sales team to introduce potential buyers to lifestyle programs and conduct tours of the community clubhouse and amenities.
- Prepare and monitor the lifestyle budget, ensuring programming stays within financial constraints.
- Oversee services for lifestyle programming, including entertainment, rental companies, contractors, food, and other vendors.
- Coordinate the development and distribution of the community newsletter, flyers, and other lifestyle marketing publications.
- Procure all necessary licenses, permits, and insurance for events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Hospitality, or Communication, or extensive experience in recreation/lifestyle programming.
- Minimum 3 years of experience coordinating and promoting recreational activities, volunteer programs, and/or fundraising events.
- Work on-site 5 days per week, Tuesday–Sunday.

Preferred: Prior experience with homeowner associations or active adult programs.
Pay
$70,000–$100,000 annually, plus a monthly mobile device allowance and an annual discretionary bonus.
