About the role

Tuscaloosa County PARA is seeking vigilant and safety‑minded Lifeguards to monitor swimming areas, prevent accidents, and respond to emergencies while maintaining a clean and safe environment for all patrons.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of swimming areas.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations.
• Prevent accidents and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Perform rescues as needed.
• Administer first aid and CPR.
• Assist with special aquatic events.
• Perform routine pool maintenance tasks.
• Uphold all PARA policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current Lifeguard certification (or ability to obtain one).
• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Physically able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
