Lifeguard - The Cove

About the role

The Lifeguards primary duty is to maintain swimmer safety at The Cove. They are responsible for monitoring water conditions and guest behavior, and is responsible for enforcing safety rules and paying close attention to swimmer activities and behavior. The Lifeguard at The Cove will always conduct themselves in a manner that supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. He/She/They shall strive to deliver exceptional service to all internal and external guests at all times. In this role, they are responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture and actively supporting our Vision and Mission to be the destination of choice for our guests, owners, and associates.

Responsibilities

• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the water
• Supervises swimming activities to ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
• Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.
• Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
• Evaluates conditions for safety and initiates aquatics emergency action plan as required.
• Inspects pool facilities
