Lifeguard (Part-Time)
Ensure the safety of all Inn & Lodge guests, Suncadia & Tumble Creek Club members, their families, and guests utilizing the pool or water slide facilities. Participate in building teamwork, service effectiveness, and the overall character of the resort experience at this premier all-season destination in the Cascade mountains.
About the Resort
Suncadia spans 6,000 acres of forested mountain landscape, offering 40+ miles of hiking and biking trails, thirty-six holes of golf, a luxury spa, and proximity to the 2.2 million-acre Wenatchee National Forest. Guests enjoy outdoor concerts, fine dining, swimming, and more.
Responsibilities
- Maintain order and enforce pool rules in water slides, swimming, and sauna areas
- Remain alert and focused at all times when on duty at the pools or water slides
- Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aid
- Clean the pool and sauna regularly of loose debris and vacuum daily
- Perform daily opening, closing, or mid-shift checklists to ensure all aspects of pool operations are administered
- Assist with general pool, facility, and locker room cleanliness
- Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance and repair needs
- Administer public health and safety policies according to facility standard operating procedures and emergency action plans
- Ensure member and associate safety through awareness and ongoing safety training
- Personally greet each club member as they enter facilities with a smile and their first or last name, depending on preference
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments
- Attend weekly, monthly, or quarterly team meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard Certification OR ability to obtain via company-provided training
- Current Certification in CPR & First Aid OR ability to obtain via company-provided training
- Previous lifeguarding experience a plus
- Strong organizational skills and oral and written communication skills
- Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Proven ability to meet and work with the public
- Ability to engage in social conversation with members and guests to promote positive relations
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with a smile
- Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Pay
$18.50 per hour
Schedule
Part-time, regular position with up to 29 hours per week. Consistently scheduled year-round.
