Lifeguard (part-time)

About the role

HealthFitness is looking for Lifeguards to join the aquatics team at their corporate client site in Racine, Wisconsin (WI).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure a safe environment for members.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

Pay

Compensation: $12 - $16.50/hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.

Schedule

Potential Shifts: Monday-Friday 5:15a-9, 9-12:30p, 3:30-8p, Saturday 8a-1p or 1-4p, Sunday 10a-4pm.
