About the role
Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment at our summer camp waterfront. Protect and supervise campers and staff engaged in waterfront activities. Assist in managing waterfront facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Protect and supervise campers and staff engaged in waterfront activities.
- Aid in the management of waterfront facilities and equipment.
- Work with other lifeguards and the Aquatics Director to plan fun and engaging activities for campers.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old by June 27, 2026
- Current lifeguard certification with waterfront skills
- Boating instructor certification or GSNENY Small Craft Safety course, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to interact positively with youth ages 7 to 17, and prior youth-focused work
- Ability to build and maintain positive professional work relationships

Schedule
- Full-summer role (8 weeks total, June 27th – August 21st)
- Partial summer at Hidden Lake Camp (June 27th – July 31, 2026)
- Partial summer at Lake Clear Camp (August 1st - August 21st)
- Camp staff are generally off from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon each week
