Lifeguard

About the role

The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is seeking part‑time, enthusiastic community members to help save lives and ensure the safety of patrons at our pool. We are looking for certified lifeguards or swimmers who are interested in becoming lifeguards – we will certify you if you qualify. The YMCA of Greater Richmond is committed to a diverse, inclusive work environment and to the professional development of its staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of members and program participants at the pool.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years old.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
• American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification (or willingness to be certified).
• Oxygen Administration (O₂) preferred but not required.
• Basic swim requirements; training provided for eligible candidates who are not yet certified.

Pay

$15–$17 per hour.

Schedule

Part‑time position.
