Lifeguard

About the role

Join SwimRVA as a Seasonal Lifeguard at the Richmond location (317 North Wilkinson). You’ll protect guests, lead fun activities, and enjoy a vibrant outdoor atmosphere while making a difference each summer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and ensure water safety.
• Lead recreational activities for guests.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and keep the aquatic area pristine.
• Assist with setup and load‑out of community events.
• Support general operations of the facility.

Requirements

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification preferred (or willingness to obtain through SwimRVA Safety School).
• Comfortable working outdoors in the sun.
• Availability from mid‑April through the end of September.

Pay

$14.25 per hour.
