Lifeguard

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Lifeguard to join our team. As a lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our club members and guests as they enjoy our pool and aquatic facilities.

Duties And Functions

• Monitoring the pool area to prevent accidents and ensure member/guest safety.
• Reacting swiftly and appropriately to any potential emergencies or incidents.
• Enforcing pool rules and club policies to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
• Conducting regular inspections of the pool, equipment, and surrounding areas for hazards or maintenance issues.
• Aiding with pool area setup, cleanup, and organizing equipment.
• Providing excellent customer service by addressing member inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Administering first aid and CPR when necessary and in accordance with your certifications.
• Collaborating with fellow lifeguards and club staff to coordinate safety procedures and pool activities.

Qualification Standards

• Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized accrediting agency.
• Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED.
• Proven experience in lifeguarding, preferably in a pool or aquatic environment.
• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness to perform water rescues effectively.
• Exceptional observational skills with the ability to quickly identify potential hazards.
• Clear communication abilities to interact with members, guests, and fellow staff members.
• Ability to remain composed and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Reliability and punctuality to adhere to assigned shifts and schedules.
