About the role

The YMCA of Northwest Florida is hiring certified lifeguards ages 16+ to work at an outdoor pool at the Navarre location. The position is seasonal, with hours/schedules varying from 20-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool area for safety
• Respond to emergencies as needed
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assist with other pool-related activities as directed

Requirements

• Current lifeguard certification (YMCA/American Red Cross)
• Ability to pass background screening and drug test

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Passionate about the YMCA's mission and values
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Skills

• First aid and CPR certification
• Swimming proficiency
• Basic first aid knowledge
