Ludlow Community Center / Randall Boys & Girls Club is hiring Lifeguards for various shifts.

Pay

Starting at $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Monitor and surveil all pool activity within a six-lane, 25-yard indoor swimming pool.
• Ensure a safe environment by maintaining high alertness, patrolling the deck, responding immediately to emergencies, and administering first aid or emergency procedures.
• Enforce pool policies, rules, and regulations in a personable and professional manner to maintain a safe and fun atmosphere.
• Instruct and evaluate members in swim lessons (as requested).
• Instruct adult aqua fitness classes (as requested), starting and ending classes on time, and cleaning up supplies afterward.
• Deliver excellent customer service, greeting members and offering assistance as needed.
• Maintain sanitary and clean conditions in the pool area and locker rooms.
• Set up the pool for various activities such as laps and classes.
• Communicate potential hazards or facility issues to the supervisor.
• Test pool water, record results, and report imbalances to the supervisor.
• Open and close the pool and locker rooms.
• Attend all required staff meetings and trainings.
• Report problems and concerns to the Aquatics Coordinator.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School graduate preferred.
• American Red Cross CPR & AED for the Professional Rescuer (Required).
• American Red Cross First Aid for the Professional Rescuer (Required).
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (Required).
