About the Role
TradeWinds Resort, a consistently rated Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace, is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure the safety of all Water Park guests while providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Recreation Team and contribute to a dynamic, family-friendly resort environment.
Responsibilities
- Create memorable experiences while maintaining the highest standard of safety.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and safe use of the Water Park for guests.
- Ensure safety standards are followed for guests participating in the "Swim with the Fish" Tank Experience.
- Monitor and respond swiftly to any needs during Water Park or "Swim with the Fish" operations.
- Provide support to guests and co-workers to enhance their experience.
- Perform maintenance on equipment as needed and directed.
Requirements
- Must possess an active and valid lifeguard certification from a reputable source.
- Active and valid open-water lifeguard certification, valid CPR certification, and former pool and/or water park experience preferred (TradeWinds can provide training for these certifications).
- Must be able to work outside in Florida's extreme/hot climate for eight hours a day or more.
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods (8 hours or more).
- Strong swimming skills, including the ability to respond to conditions in the Gulf and swim 500 meters within 10 minutes.
- Ability to safely lift and move objects weighing 60–100 lbs.
- Must have open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as these are the busiest times.
