Lifeguard
About the role
The Parks and Recreation team is currently hiring for Lifeguards. Part time/year-round (up to 28 hours per week) and interim/year-round (up to 40 hours per week) positions are available at Midco Aquatic Center and Westside Recreation Center.
Lifeguards are needed year-round at our indoor facilities and at our outdoor pools during the summer. Interim employees are eligible to work up to 40 hours per week and are eligible for the City’s health insurance benefits.
Responsibilities
Lifeguards will be required to work a varied schedule including weekends and evening hours.
Requirements
- American Red Cross lifeguard certification (applicants can apply without certification, with the job offer contingent on successful completion of the certificate)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Willingness to work a varied schedule including weekends and evening hours
Qualifications
If hired, the City of Sioux Falls will reimburse the cost of lifeguard certification.

Pay
$17.40 hourly
