About the role

Chula Vista is hiring part-time and full-time lifeguards with open availability. Responsibilities include ensuring guest safety on both water and dry attractions, maintaining rescue-ready skills, and providing exceptional guest service, particularly for children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest safety on water and dry attractions
• Maintain high safety standards and rescue-ready skills at all times
• Provide exceptional guest service, especially for children
• Assist with various tasks, including grounds maintenance, tube handling, line control, and guest assistance on attractions
• Take out trash
• Work in and out of chlorinated water for extended periods in various weather conditions

Requirements

• American Red Cross lifeguard certification (required)
• Open availability for full-time or part-time positions
• Exceptional guest service skills
• Physical stamina for extended periods in varying conditions

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 25–30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs with assistance
• Standing and walking for extended lengths of time
• Full use of eyes, ears, and speech
• Walking, climbing stairs, turning head and torso, bending arms, wrists, and fingers

Pay

Rate of pay is based on experience.
