About the role

The Lifeguard provides competent and complete supervision of pool activity according to industry standards and certification guidelines. The Lifeguard engages energetically with guests, providing a high quality, safe, and enjoyable pool experience 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Engages guests, providing a high quality, safe, and enjoyable pool experience 100% of the time.
• Performs opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned.
• Ensures the pool facilities meet Genesis Brand Standards 100% of the time.
• Maintain appropriate chemical levels, water temps and record keeping;
• Communicates scheduling availability to the Aquatics Coordinator and is responsible for securing adequate coverage for assigned shifts when needed.
• Answers guest questions effectively.
• Participates in staff meetings and in-services as scheduled in support of effective operations.

Qualifications

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Current Lifeguarding Certification
• Demonstrated ability to build culture and team environment
• Effective communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills

Requirements

• This position is part-time with a variable schedule; the ability to work days, evenings, and weekends according to the needs of Blast off Bay is required
• Reliable transportation to and from work
