About the role

The Lifecycle Planner will manage and implement engineering changes in our manufacturing processes. This role involves coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, and Sourcing teams to ensure changes are implemented effectively and efficiently. The Lifecycle Planner will create, maintain, and execute a "plan for every part" in Engineering Change Orders, ensuring the phase-in/phase-out process is followed and changes are coordinated across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement engineering change orders in coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Review and approve engineering change requests, ensuring they are necessary, feasible, and beneficial.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of engineering changes, including reasons for the change, the implementation process, and any impact on the manufacturing process or inventory.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to manage any changes in materials or suppliers resulting from engineering changes.
  • Monitor the implementation of engineering changes to ensure they are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on the engineering change process.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented engineering changes and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor slow-moving inventory and provide recommendations to generate cash flow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in an engineered configured-to-build environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Planning or managing engineering change orders.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software and tools (Oracle, WindChill, Tableau).
  • Experience in a leadership role is preferred.
  • Certification in Project Management or a related field would be an advantage.
