As an R&D expert, you’ll leverage your understanding of how business, technology, and operations intersect to help biopharmaceutical and biotechnology clients design, build, and deploy solutions that accelerate getting the right therapies to patients. You’ll apply analytical talents to solve problems creatively and communicate complex ideas effectively.

Responsibilities

• Help clients and organizations in the broader healthcare ecosystem accelerate the delivery of therapies to patients.
• Analyze clients’ current R&D strategies, processes, and technology landscapes.
• Advise clients on shaping next-generation capabilities and operating models to become data-driven, AI-enabled organizations.
• Design and deploy change management projects to ensure long-term client success.
• Build relationships with client stakeholders to establish Accenture as a trusted partner.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
• Contribute to Accenture’s thought leadership in sales, marketing, and customer experience.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in management consulting and the life sciences R&D industry in one or more of the following areas: research, clinical development, pharmacovigilance, regulatory, medical affairs, MD&D (medical device and diagnostics), EBP (evidence-based practice), medtech, or related fields such as CROs, health institutions, or health technology companies.
• A Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Skills

• A Bachelor’s degree with a major in science or health engineering.
• Deep understanding of biopharmaceutical R&D and product lifecycle processes.
• Experience working with or leading teams, clients, and vendors, demonstrating strong team-building, mentoring, and people development skills.
• Experience working with Life Sciences R&D professionals, applying excellent client-facing communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, applying structured approaches to problem-solving.
• Experience working on or owning a defined portion of a consulting project, with demonstrated ability to manage issues and risks, including appropriate escalation.

Pay

Compensation varies based on factors such as office location, role, skill set, and experience. Below are the annual salary ranges for this role in select U.S. locations:

• California: $70,350 to $205,800
• Cleveland: $59,100 to $164,600
• Colorado: $63,800 to $177,800
• District of Columbia: $68,000 to $189,300
• Illinois: $59,100 to $177,800
• Maine: $54,400 to $151,400
• Maryland: $63,800 to $177,800
• Massachusetts: $63,800 to $189,300
• Minnesota: $63,800 to $177,800
• New York: $66,300 to $205,800
• New Jersey: $68,000 to $205,800
• Virginia: $59,100 to $189,300
• Washington: $80,200 to $189,300
