Responsibilities
- Maximize life insurance market penetration with current members and property/casualty insureds while identifying new sales opportunities
- Maintain high-quality production and persistency standards to ensure profitable growth
- Develop and pursue sales opportunities within the community
- Follow company-approved sales processes for financial, activity, and sales reporting
- Provide life sales support and training on lead development for frontline employees, Insurance Sales Agents (P/C), and other staff interacting with members/insureds
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with frontline employees, Sales Agents, and branch management
- Notify Agents promptly of referral outcomes
- Share leads from life insureds and other calls with Sales Agents for cross-selling opportunities (e.g., membership, auto/homeowners, and travel insurance)
- Stay informed of policy changes and external industry developments
- Attend meetings to exchange information, provide input, and share sales ideas
- Maintain licensure through continuing education
- Develop an annual business plan with input from the Life Sales Manager to meet goals, including new business life sales, quality standards, and customer relationships
- Review and adjust plan objectives to align performance with annual sales goals
- Ensure compliance with NCNU, AAA Life, and external regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid automobile operator’s license
- Active state resident life insurance license
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of experience in life insurance and/or annuity sales
- CLU, ChFC, and/or LUTCF designations
- Bilingual communication skills
Skills
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills for effective interaction with staff, members, and insureds
- Ability to cultivate relationships and educate staff to generate referrals
- Proficiency in basic software applications and life-insurance-specific business tools
- Demonstrated experience selling life insurance and annuities
- Ability to develop, track, and follow up on leads
- Knowledge of sales techniques, life product illustrations, features, and benefits
- Prospecting and lead-generation abilities
Work Environment
- Office environment with extended periods of sitting at a desk, table, or computer workstation
- May require travel by car, plane, or other transportation for business meetings or conferences
- Approximately 50–80% of time spent using a personal computer
Pay
$16.90/hour non-recoverable draw on commission plus incentive
