About the role

LifeShield is seeking a Life Operations Agent to review, balance, and post group premiums, as well as assist customers and agents with individual and Group Life Insurance inquiries via phone or email.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers and agents with individual and Group Life Insurance inquiries via phone or email.
  • Issue and post premium receipts and invoices, updating accounts with payment issues.
  • Process changes to policies with accuracy.
  • Multi-task, including talking to customers while simultaneously navigating the computer system.
  • Manage and identify inconsistencies in payment dates, ensuring all clients remain informed on outstanding debts and deadlines.
  • Process, maintain, and follow up on documents received through the document management system.
  • Provide solutions to problems for internal and external clients, escalating complex issues to management as needed.
  • Maintain performance standards.
  • Efficiently manage all other assigned job duties while following established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate ownership of all work to positively drive business results.
  • Attend paid training and build personal skill sets by participating in internal and external training.
  • Participate in cross-training to act as a backup for other Life Operations areas as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required.
  • 1-3 years of office-related experience and previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including maneuvering within multiple software programs and screens simultaneously.
  • Basic computer knowledge (including MS Office) and data entry skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet performance standards.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change and process new information quickly.
