About the role

GPM Life is a northeast San Antonio-based life insurance company focused on providing excellent service to policyholders, agents, and the GPM Life team. Employees work 39 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a 5-hour workday on Fridays.

Responsibilities

  • Develop full proficiency in Agent Onboarding and Terminations, compensation/hierarchy/contract maintenance, and ensure compliance with state Departments of Insurance and GPM Life internal operating procedures.
  • Handle/approve state appointments to meet compliance regulations for all states/jurisdictions, including requesting background check reports, appointment fees, and related forms.
  • Prepare contracts for processing and manage monthly LOP report.
  • Communicate with field leaders before executing agent terminations and set up agent payment arrangements.
  • Reconcile monthly Vector reports and manage debt collection for unpaid balances.
  • Apply critical thinking and operational expertise to identify and correct workflow inefficiencies and process gaps.
  • Assist agents with commission questions, explain statement locations, and research discrepancies.
  • Process direct deposits, log agent information, and maintain state regulation files.
  • Manage inventory, distribution services, and update promotional catalogs and agency materials library.
  • Process Supply Orders for agents and employees.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a life insurance company.
  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact well with others and work with demanding customers.
