Presbyterian Homes & Services - Harbor Crossing is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, implement, and monitor life enhancement programming for residents. This role reports to the Life Enrichment Director and is part of a team focused on enriching the lives of older adults in a supportive, community-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Promote residents’ well-being and satisfaction by supporting their independence in all areas of life.
  • Develop and interpret standards of care, guiding the interdisciplinary team to establish and implement resident care plans with input from residents, families, and the Household team.
  • Improve systems and eliminate barriers to resident-centered care and services.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, professionals, and staff to implement programs that meet psychosocial and activity needs, including creating diverse opportunities for meaningful pursuits, daily pleasures, life enrichment, exercise, friendships, social interaction, growth, learning, fun, personal routines, spontaneous activity, and Household rituals.
  • Lead and participate in daily Chat Circles with residents and staff.
  • Assist residents with activities of their choice, whether group, individual, or one-on-one.
  • Provide leisure life activities and take residents outdoors or into the facility community.
  • Plan, implement, and participate in outings and special events.
  • Provide one-on-one interaction with residents based on their preferences.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, program, implement, and coordinate recreation programming for residents.
  • Previous experience with seniors preferred.
  • Class B license or ability to obtain within six months of hire as required by site.
  • Strong communication skills, with insights into resident preferences and needs.
  • Demonstrated communication and relationship-building skills with residents, staff, families, and volunteers.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for planned programs.
  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and positive rapport with residents and staff.
  • Compatibility with PHS’ mission and operating philosophies.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate effectively with all customers.

Pay

The estimated starting pay range for this role is $19.75 - $22.64 per hour. Actual pay depends on individual qualifications and market conditions.
