About the role
The Life Enrichment Assistant works primarily with our Memory Care residents, and is responsible for assisting the Life Enrichment Director in planning, organizing, and implementing life enrichment, events and activities for residents, aiming to enhance their well-being and engagement as required for an independent living, assisted living and/or memory care community.
Location: Avamere at Park Place - 8445 SW Hemlock St., Portland, OR 97223
Responsibilities
- Activity Planning & Implementation: Assist in developing and implementing a diverse range of activities, including games, exercise programs, arts and crafts, music sessions, and social events
- Create activity schedules and calendars, ensuring a variety of options to cater to different interests and abilities
- Prepare activity areas, gather necessary supplies, and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
- Resident Engagement: Lead group activities and engage residents in one-on-one interactions
- Encourage participation in activities and provide support to residents who may need assistance
- Observe residents' responses to activities and report any changes in their needs or behavior to the appropriate personnel
