Job Summary

At Monarch Communities Senior Living, our Life Enrichment Assistants play a key role in enriching our residents' lives through various activities and programming. This position requires a compassionate, creative, and energetic individual who enjoys interacting with people and promoting community engagement.

About the Role

Our Life Enrichment Assistants are integral members of the team, responsible for getting to know residents, planning and implementing activities, and promoting community events. They also assist with event setup and breakdown, and may occasionally drive the company vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Get to know residents and plan and implement spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural, and emotional programming.
  • Promote and communicate upcoming community events and activities.
  • Organize and run games, painting, singing, and music events.
  • Use social media, email, and newsletters to showcase daily activities.
  • Occasionally drive the company vehicle to transport residents to and from events.
  • Help set up and break down events and activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Physical fitness to assist with activities and mobility support
  • Flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities (preferred)
  • Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar role (preferred)
  • Knowledge of senior care or recreational activities (preferred)
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication
