Life Engagement Assistant / Driver

About the role

Avalon Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant / Driver to coordinate and execute programs and activities that enhance the quality of life for residents. This role involves hands-on participation in activities, providing logistical support, ensuring a vibrant and engaging community environment, and driving residents to and from appointments when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing diverse activities promoting physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual well-being of the residents
• Foster positive relationships with residents through interaction and engagement
• Engage in events that bring residents and their families together for social engagement
• Assist with maintaining attendance records and inventory of supplies as needed
• Work closely with the Life Engagement Director to coordinate and deliver comprehensive resident care and engagement
• Assist in coordinating transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments
• Encourage resident participation in activities and provide individualized support as needed
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by Triple Crown Senior Living
• Work independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leader
• Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
• Maintain good working relationships with residents and co-workers
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
• Able to sit for long periods
