Life Engagement Assistant (Activities / Recreation)

About the role

Spring House Estates, a skilled‑nursing community in Lower Gwynedd, PA, is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant. In this position you will support the Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and implementing Acts Signature Experience (ASE) programs and events that promote wellness, person‑centered living, and hospitality. The role focuses on providing residents—regardless of cognitive or functional level—with meaningful engagement aligned with the Acts engagement philosophy and Montessori principles, using personal histories captured in “My Story.”

Responsibilities

• Assist the Life Engagement Coordinator with planning and executing ASE programs and events.
• Incorporate wellness, person‑centered living, and hospitality into activities that address body, mind, and spirit.
• Ensure residents of varying cognitive and functional abilities have opportunities for meaningful engagement.
• Apply Montessori principles to empower residents and tailor programs to individual preferences and histories.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of activities/recreation experience.
• Dementia engagement certification (or willingness to obtain within one year of employment).
• Current or eligible certification in CPR.

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $15.58 to $18.45, with the starting rate determined by skills and experience.
