About the role

Dordick Law Corporation is a mid-sized personal injury law firm based in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. The firm focuses on catastrophic personal injury, negligence, product defects, and road design cases. It is a family-owned business with offices in Beverly Hills, downtown Los Angeles, and Riverside.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, organize, and itemize client medical bills.
  • Request medical summaries, illustrations, and treatment plans.
  • Negotiate Medpay reimbursement claims/waivers as well as sub-out attorney liens.
  • Draft Lien Reduction acceptance letters.
  • Identify liens from emergency medical treatment.
  • Correspond with clients and creditors over the phone and through email.
  • Perform other office tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Possess a working knowledge of personal injury lien negotiation.
  • Have experience working with medical bills and records.
  • Strong working knowledge of various governmental healthcare provider policies and procedures for lien negotiation and resolution, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, Medicaid, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry practices and procedures in lien negotiation and resolution with health insurance providers, private healthcare providers, and hospital/ER/EMS providers, generally.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Personal Injury law firm preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) and other applications and/or systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrates a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.
