Licensing Coordinator
About the role
At Spin Master, we are looking for a Licensing Coordinator to drive the technical and administrative execution of the licensor approval process for our global portfolios. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between licensors and our internal Design and Product Development teams, ensuring all product, packaging, and marketing submissions align with contractual terms and legal documentation.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for licensors, providing regular communication and support throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Cook up the end-to-end licensing process, obtaining necessary approvals for product and packaging to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all submissions meet specific brand integrity and contractual requirements.
- Communicate key licensing updates, agreement statuses, and expiration dates to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings between licensors and internal teams to align on project milestones and deliverables.
- Manage project trackers and provide regular status reports to maintain a seamless information flow.
- Identify project risks and assist in implementing action plans to mitigate hurdles.
- Maintain a deep understanding of product development timelines and KPIs to contribute effectively to the development cycle.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Licensing, Project Management, or Legal roles within the consumer goods industry.
- A college degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple submission timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with a high level of discretion.
- Familiarity with consumer product approval systems (e.g., Media Box) is preferred.
- Experience navigating intellectual property constraints and contractual terms.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of intellectual property laws and contract management.
Benefits
The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in New York or California is $30 to $40 per hour. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
